This Quiet Prayer

I hold this world lightly

as a living prayer,

this same quiet prayer

that called out

from within

and healed

my own heart

not so long ago —

the whisper of hope

I once thought

could be lost.

May we be

gently guided.

And may we find

comfort in each step.
