Quiet Reflections and Prayers
Have a gentle Friday.
❤ Laurie
With a little persistence,
I remembered
who I really am.
I found a natural way
to be in my mind,
in my heart
and in the world.
It became the most beautiful
movement
of holding and honoring
and letting go —
sometimes holding
a little tighter
or a little longer —
sometimes clinging
for a moment
to the edge!
But I always returned
to the natural flow
of love.
One day I decided
that I would accept this world
with all of its pain
and struggles
as I had accepted
my own shattered heart.
I would dare to stand
in the middle of all of it —
to see the beauty
underneath —
to remember
the purity of love
and the power
in its embrace.
One word must start each prayer…
May we find the natural path
to our hearts. And may we remember we are love. Amen.
And so there came
the moment of decision —
the choice
to keep going
with the struggle
or to turn around
and go back,
not back to the past,
but a different option —
the choice to go
a little further —
past the shame
and years of trauma —
past the struggles
to analyze and change —
past all of the noise in my head
and in the world —
back a little further,
a little deeper
to my heart.
Thank you, Trini, for sharing this. It is just perfect.
Holding just a little tighter today. ❤ This is for our little parts that need just a little more holding.
Very much love,
Laurie
Sometimes it’s nice,
even necessary,
to step back a little —
to pause,
to reconnect
with who I truly am —
to deeply listen
to my own heart
without the need for words.
There is no more. I just can’t get this read more off. 🙂 Continue reading “Prayer Break”
And so my heart,
after all of its endless searching,
decided it was
perhaps a little more satisfied
to be still —
to surrender
to this quiet place
within —
where it didn’t need to seek.
I have learned
that this life can be
more than a little
hard to take
and that it can also be
surprising,
even a little silly —
all at once.
