Waiting for Words

Gently Connected

July 27, 2015July 28, 2015 Laurie's Notes

I found peace

in holding

and trusting

all that showed up —

all that was

just enough and jut right

in each moment.

And I began to trust

a little more

in my own ability

to feel the answers

to my own questions —

 to be gently connected

with myself and others

from a quiet,

beautiful place

within my own heart.

Quieting

July 24, 2015July 28, 2015 Laurie's Notes

For so long,

I felt separated

from my Self.

And so there came

from some place deep within

a quieting —

a reaching —

so that I could feel

my heart again.

A Little More Gently

July 23, 2015July 29, 2015 Laurie's Notes

May we trust

in our own hearts,

listening a little more deeply —

holding

all that we are

a little more gently.

Amen.

Quiet Moments

July 22, 2015July 28, 2015 Laurie's Notes

And so I continued

to trust my own path.

I began to find comfort

in the very silence

I had once turned away

and to welcome the

quiet moments

when I couldn’t quite figure out

the next step.

Quiet Reflections

July 21, 2015July 29, 2015 Laurie's Notes

One day I let go

of trying so hard

to fit all the pieces together.

I let go of the need

to make sense

of each experience.

And I began to trust

a little more

in the quiet reflections

of my own heart.

Remembrance

July 21, 2015July 29, 2015 Laurie's Notes

May I always remember

the calm

that is my very core,

the peace

in holding and healing

my own heart,

and the comfort

in the embrace.

Amen

Holding

July 20, 2015July 29, 2015 Laurie's Notes

And so I held

all that was in need

of holding

in my own heart.

And the little parts

of me

didn’t have to go back through

all that had been

because I already knew.

They only had to

meet me as they were.

A Little More Deeply

July 18, 2015July 29, 2015 Laurie's Notes

And so I gathered up

all the pieces of my heart

once more

And instead of trying again

to fit them neatly

together,

I held them

a little longer

and listened

a little more deeply.

Each Loving Embrace

July 17, 2015July 29, 2015 Laurie's Notes

One day I looked back

at the painful moments,

remembering the purity

of love

that had met me there

again and again.

And so I began to meet

each new challenge

with this same love —

to identify a little less

with the struggle

and more

with each loving embrace.

Waiting for Words

No Matter What

July 16, 2015July 29, 2015 Laurie's Notes

There is a place

in my heart,

a pure place —

where there is nothing

to be sorted out

or healed —

where I am always okay

no matter what.
