Waiting for Words

The Courage to Stand Still

July 15, 2015July 29, 2015 Laurie's Notes

I found healing

in the courage to stand still

in my heart

and my experiences.

I found peace

in listening to the subtle insights

that could only be found

in the depths

of my own soul.

Waiting for Words

Just Enough

July 14, 2015July 29, 2015 Laurie's Notes

I gathered up each little piece

of my experience in the world.

And because my attempts

at fitting them together neatly

didn’t work,

I tossed them all back up

again and again.

And I began to see

that what came back

each time

in each moment

was just enough.

All That Could Be

July 14, 2015July 29, 2015 Laurie's Notes

I let go a little

more completely

of all that I had been taught

about what was in front of me

and what had passed.

And I began to listen

to all that was in my heart

and to dream

of all that could be.

Where There Is Only Love

July 13, 2015 Laurie's Notes

I found healing

in my willingness

to hold

whatever is in this moment —

to allow this holding

to reach deep down

within my heart —

to follow this holding

into the space

where there is only love.

Waiting for Words

Hidden Underneath

July 13, 2015July 13, 2015 Laurie's Notes

Let me remember

the sound of my own true voice

hidden underneath

each experience

and all distractions.

Give me courage

to speak

from the quiet place

within my own heart.

Amen.

Reconnecting With the Space Within

July 13, 2015July 14, 2015 Laurie's Notes

I dared to reach a little further,

to hold all that was

in need of holding

in my own heart and in the world

just a little longer,

just a little more —

just a little past

the stories on the surface —

to continue to trust

 in the power of reconnecting

with the space within —

to remember

the beauty and wisdom

 in the depths

of where I had once been

afraid to look.
