This Very Stillness

After a while,

quite quickly, in fact,

it didn’t matter

so much

if anything shifted

at all.

The beauty

in finding and staying

and being

this very stillness

within my deepest heart

and in every moment,

was enough.

Everything else was

a lovely bonus,

an affirmation of

this pure space within.
