This Sacred Journey

I found there were places

in me

that remained unhealed —

tender places

I wouldn’t offer

in exchange

for the winding path

that led me back

to my Self.

I found healing wasn’t

something that happened

at the beginning

or the end,

but a beautiful unfolding.

And so I honor

this sacred journey.
