Just past my thoughts
of healing,
beyond the stories
on the surface
or perhaps in the middle —
a little deeper down
where pain merges
with tenderness,
I found the me
I once lost,
this me
underneath.
Just past my thoughts
of healing,
beyond the stories
on the surface
or perhaps in the middle —
a little deeper down
where pain merges
with tenderness,
I found the me
I once lost,
this me
underneath.

Hi Laurie! Have you come upon the work of Dr. Kristin Neff? She teaches on self-compassion; I have found the practice to be very freeing. She is a researcher who has taught on the application of self-compassion in the workplace, home, in relationships, etc. Search for her online and watch a video on YouTube. Her voice is soothing as she invites us to show ourselves the same care, kindness, concern, and compassion that we would offer to a good friend. Love and light to you in the new year!

I love the middle of it all too. I think that is where we float and all the magic happens! And maybe everything around us feels like a bow hug! 😀 ❤ I love that thought!
