Right Here

There was something

very beautiful

in the coming together,

in realizing I didn’t need

to have all of the pieces

on my own.

It was humbling

to seek

and to feel

a living life –

this sacred, magical life

I had known

as a child

and let go of too soon

because it didn’t match

the interpretations

around me.

And so I continue on,

having been touched deeply

by everyday people

and experiences

and found

that missing something,

longed for

for too long —

right here,

in our own hearts

and in front of us.
