The longing
to know the deepest
kind of peace
led to questions
and surrenders.
It led to an expanded
view of life
and pain
and love.
It led to my own
deepest heart
and to the quiet prayer
that reached back —
recognized
and honored at last
as my own true
voice.

Love your short, graceful lines … I wrote a song titled The Longing and it’s playing on my site now

β€ Thank you. I will check it out. I pull words from my little poem notes for the title. I erased and put it back. I like how it matched your song title.
