One Quiet Prayer

When the outer world

seems most chaotic,

remind me

of the calm within

that carries me

safely through

all circumstances.

Help me to listen

a little more deeply

when I am most tempted

to turn away —

never underestimating

the power

of one subtle,

quiet prayer

whispered from this place.
