I found I didn’t
need to wait
for everything
to come together
or fall apart —
or dance all
the little pieces
of my heart
into a corner.
In any moment,
I could return
to zero.
And I always met
just the right pieces
there.
Quiet Reflections and Prayers
I found I didn’t
need to wait
for everything
to come together
or fall apart —
or dance all
the little pieces
of my heart
into a corner.
In any moment,
I could return
to zero.
And I always met
just the right pieces
there.
A quiet prayer
seemed to rise up
and always led
gently back
to silence,
honoring all
of life —
it’s only wish
to remind all parts
of itself
of its own
one true heart.
I found
moments in time
to be part of
a continuous flow
of life.
Holding these moments
lightly,
no longer needing
to cling
or sort each one
completely,
I began to find
my way back
to my deepest heart —
where there is calm —
where all that is sacred
is held safely
and honored.
There was still pain
in many forms,
but places inside
that had once pulled me
out of this place
and sent me searching
for reprieve
began to disappear
before me —
leaving more and more
space for the deepest
kind of healing
in my heart
and in the world
around me.
