Reflections

Never Broken

December 21, 2015December 22, 2015 Laurie's Notes

In my search for healing,

I found I could stand

in anything.

I found I could

remain connected

with my deepest heart,

even when the reflection I saw

didn’t match —

when holding it

tired my tireless spirit

and letting go wasn’t an option

just yet.

And there, in that holding,

I found I could

never be broken.

Sacred Spaces

December 19, 2015December 20, 2015 Laurie's Notes

Thank you

for sacred spaces

where whispers are felt

with the heart —

where all is held

safely in love’s embrace.

Amen.

In Pieces

December 19, 2015December 19, 2015 Laurie's Notes

One day

I began to see

the natural beauty

hidden just beneath

the surface of this life.

And instead of trying

to sort it all out

at once,

I let go

a little more

into the mystery

and held on

ever so lightly

to each new moment

as it transformed itself

into the next

and love revealed herself

in pieces.

From Within

December 17, 2015December 17, 2015 Laurie's Notes

I found beauty

in the listening,

in the sinking down

and holding —

in the willingness

to let go

and witness the unfolding

of this life from within.

Loved Into Being

December 16, 2015December 17, 2015 Laurie's Notes

I found peace

in the me that showed up

in each moment,

unconditionally —

to hold a space,

a prayer —

for whatever needed to be

loved into being.

From A Quiet Prayer

December 15, 2015December 16, 2015 Laurie's Notes

I found my way

to the very center

of my heart.

And within the purity

of love

in that place,

I became

the quiet prayer

that had led me

to that moment

and continued on.

From Her Deepest Heart

December 13, 2015December 20, 2015 Laurie's Notes

Sometimes love calls out,

having seen the beauty

of her own true essence

beneath all things.

Look deeper! She shouts,

only to be pushed aside.

But she remembers

that her voice

is heard most clearly

in a whisper

from her own deepest heart.

And embracing her grief —

as a quiet prayer —

she waits.
