I found,
in each moment,
connection with my own
higher self —
the most gentle,
quiet prayer
just beneath the surface,
no matter what
was appearing.
Even when the world
seemed too noisy,
I found comfort
in knowing it was
still there.
Quiet Reflections and Prayers
I found,
in each moment,
connection with my own
higher self —
the most gentle,
quiet prayer
just beneath the surface,
no matter what
was appearing.
Even when the world
seemed too noisy,
I found comfort
in knowing it was
still there.
In this moment,
I declare
a truce,
a respite —
a little space for
calm —
here,
in the stillness
of my heart.
After a while,
I found
the subtle knowings
that bubbled up
from the space
within my heart
and offered comfort
I could hold
to be worth
the natural gathering of
treasures hidden
in the experiences
and quiet letting go
that happened just
before.
At a certain point,
I found
that projecting myself
any further into
the future
than that very moment
was not something
I could afford to do
any longer.
And so I prepared
as best I could
for the unknown.
And as I had done
before,
in a moment
of absolute truth,
I vowed to show up
in that moment
and the next
and trust
that my willingness
to risk
would be met.
And I knew
I would never
leave the prayer
that began
in that moment
of truth.
Sometimes prayers
become wordless —
when there are
a million words
in the heart,
but not one
to match
the rawness
of emotion felt.
And so I offer
my deepest silent
prayer
to the place
of peace
in us all
in this moment
and the next.
And I honor
our steps
as we find our way.
Amen
I found things seemed
most tangled up
when there was
shifting going on
a little
deeper down.
And moving through
meant holding on
while letting go —
the most delicate
of moves.
Here, in the stillness —
there is calm
and comfort in knowing
that hidden within
whatever appears
is something
just a little more
magical
than it seems.
— Laurie, What’s Right Here
I love you
in this exact moment,
in this exact state
with all of the things
you would change
or improve.
You are loved
and held.
You are okay
no matter what.
And you are this
Love.
Amen
I found
words shared
with pure intent
could travel
deep down
into parts of us
in great need
of comfort.
I found just a few,
deeply felt,
could calm the places
where nothing else could
reach.
I hold this space
in my heart
for healing.
I vow to stand
in my fear —
to follow in the steps
of my own heart —
to love
beyond hope
simply because it is
my nature to love —
to offer my deepest
silent prayer
to us all —
to be this living prayer
beyond words
in this moment
and the next —
to remember
and repeat the words
How could I not?
Amen
