I reached a place
that could only be found
by turning around —
not by struggling
to transform a part of me
that was broken,
but by meeting
my own wholeness
from within.
Quiet Reflections and Prayers
I reached a place
that could only be found
by turning around —
not by struggling
to transform a part of me
that was broken,
but by meeting
my own wholeness
from within.
The time came
to turn around
and search for the one
in me
that could hold
all of the rest —
naturally.
My heart remembered
a gentler path
where moments are gathered
and held
without grasping —
where words are
understood without trying —
where I wait
without wishing
for time to pass.
And so life became
a little gentler
at each turn,
each time I chose
to pause,
to trust my own heart,
and to move
with love.
And so the decision was made
to live
from that exact moment —
with all of that exact pain
and those exact challenges
in the middle
of all that was uncertain
and unclear,
not as a continuation
of a story,
but as me.
With every last bit
of strength,
I held on
to the calm within
my heart.
And with a quiet prayer,
I vowed to stand my ground
for as long as it took —
until the trembling stopped —
until I could stand firmly —
until I could walk through anything.
And so I stood still
in my heart,
surrounded by the many
thoughts I had gathered
and set free —
the quiet whispers
that had led me
ever so gently
back to this sacred space.
And I found my prayers
had always existed here —
without the words.
I hold this space
for all that needs
holding —
in remembrance
of the peace
that we are —
underneath.
Amen.
I set down my shield
from the pain of this life
in exchange for the raw beauty
I found within.
And in one moment,
I found enough strength
to carry me through
a lifetime.
I continued on —
holding and honoring
and letting go
of all that appeared
until there was nothing
I couldn’t meet
with love
and rise above.
