Having seen the beauty
underneath,
I feared I might
have to leave —
to choose to stand again
on the surface.
And so I continued on
until it became clear
that there was
really nothing to fear
and nothing to choose —
only love.

A Tender Kind of Beauty
I found a tender kind
of beauty
in my own courage
to let go of the pieces
of my heart
for just a moment,
just long enough
to see
the beauty
through the pain.
But I found even
more beauty
in my willingness
to stand in the emptiness
and allow the pieces
to fall
back down.
This Emerging Love
I began to notice
the quieter,
natural kind of joy
that came
out of the most
subtle shifting
of my own heart.
And I knew it was
safe to trust
in the unfolding
of my own path
and yours
and in this
emerging love.
Real Magic
And so life became
a little more magical
with each tiny surrender
as I learned to trust —
as I remembered
the real magic within.
Waiting For Words
One day I found
my thoughts
had begun to fall
too quickly.
And so I tossed
them all
back up
and waited
for words to come
down again
a little more slowly —
a little more gently —
a little more directly
into the emptiness
of me.
From Within
I reached a place
that could only be found
by turning around —
not by struggling
to transform a part of me
that was broken,
but by meeting
my own wholeness
from within.
Gently
And so I began
to trust
my own heart
to interpret
all that was unclear —
to allow the pieces
to fall back down
gently —
in a way I could understand.
The Unfolding
I came to the place
where there were
more questions
than answers.
And there I found
a sweetness
in the surrender
to the unfolding
of both answers
and mystery.
Underneath
I hold this silent prayer
in my deepest heart
for you and for me —
that we may always remember
the love that we are
in our purest form —
underneath.
Amen.
Naturally
The time came
to turn around
and search for the one
in me
that could hold
all of the rest —
naturally.
