I return
to this place,
unafraid to stand now
in the silence —
to wait for words,
not to explain or create,
but to pour out
all that is
already written
on our hearts.

Quiet Reflections and Prayers
I return
to this place,
unafraid to stand now
in the silence —
to wait for words,
not to explain or create,
but to pour out
all that is
already written
on our hearts.
— Laurie, Heart Space
Thank you
for safe spaces —
for gentle voices
can feel a little
out of place
in a noisy world
and grow most effectively
in silence.
Thank you
for all that has refused
to toughen up
or fit in —
for we could use
a few more
quiet prayers.
Amen.
When what can be seen
of me
appears unsettled,
when peace and connection
seem like distant memories lost
somewhere in the future
or the past,
guide me safely back
to my Self.
Amen.
I stopped trying
to analyze and explain.
I stopped trying
to fix.
I stopped to listen
and to trust
a little more deeply
in my heart.
I stopped
trying so hard
to be the me
I thought I should be.
And I started to
see the real me
just showing up,
naurally —
shifting
and evolving
as the stillness
and movement
of life.
There came a time
when the parts
of me
that had worked
so hard
to find the way back
began to trust
just enough
to let go
a little more.
And so I became
even quieter
in my heart.
And I understood
what it really means
to be still
and to trust.
— Laurie, Healer of My Own Heart
I have written these words as my own medicine. I share them with you with love and a quiet prayer.
When there is nothing
more to say,
when all I can do
is let go
and listen
to the silence,
I will wait —
knowing that you will
meet me in this place —
beyond the words.
I found beauty
in the listening,
in the sinking down
and holding —
in the willingness
to let go
and witness the unfolding
of this life from within.
I found peace
in the me that showed up
in each moment,
unconditionally —
to hold a space,
a prayer —
for whatever needed to be
loved into being.
I found peace
in looking a little deeper —
through the stories
on the surface.
And though I couldn’t
quite explain
what I had found,
I saw that quiet space
in everything.
And I was changed
forever.
