I found
it was possible
to follow
a gentler path.
Old patterns
were seen clearly
and had lost
their hold.
The pull
was toward
the peace
I held in my
heart.
And I was grateful
for each tiny step
toward its unfolding.
Tag: Calm
From There
I vowed to stand
within my heart
in all of my
experiences.
In that moment,
I learned
the value in
the willingness
to allow myself
to feel my true
essence
and to be led
gently from there.
Remembrance
There was
a settling back in
to what had been
carefully hidden.
The longing
to be some place
other than
that moment
was transformed into
a delicate embrace
and remembrance
of my own true
essence.
There was a knowing
that shifting
would continue
and that it would
have to come
out of this
space.
Stillness Within
May we find
a place of
stillness within.
And may we
live
from this place.

Just Enough
I found my deepest
peace
in turning
down the volume
around me
and within
just enough
so that I could
feel
my own quiet
prayer.
And so I always
returned to
this.
Just Beneath the Surface
I found I could
turn down the volume
within
and around me
quite naturally.
I found I could
listen just beneath
the surface.
It took a little
while to remember
how to trust
my own heart —
just a little
while.
Gently Back
I found I could
remember the purity
of my heart.
I could
allow all parts
of me
to be drawn
gently back
to the place
of natural
calm.
Naturally
I found my
quiet prayers
naturally led
to the most tender
place in my heart
and in every single
experience.
The Quiet Prayer
I found
comfort in the
gentle way
I learned to hold
and release
all that had been
too much —
allowing all the pieces
of me
to feel
the quiet prayer
of my heart.
Quiet Our Hearts
Let us be quieted
just enough —
that we may
hear our own
silent prayers.
And when we
feel small,
quiet our hearts
just a little more.
