Thank you
for sacred spaces
where whispers are felt
with the heart —
where all is held
safely in love’s embrace.
Amen.
Quiet Reflections and Prayers
Thank you
for sacred spaces
where whispers are felt
with the heart —
where all is held
safely in love’s embrace.
Amen.
One day
I began to see
the natural beauty
hidden just beneath
the surface of this life.
And instead of trying
to sort it all out
at once,
I let go
a little more
into the mystery
and held on
ever so lightly
to each new moment
as it transformed itself
into the next
and love revealed herself
in pieces.
And so I held on,
watching for a sign
that this world
had not yet forgotten
the sound of its own
true voice.
And as I waited
beneath the noise
and distractions,
my heart let go
of one tiny prayer —
that it might
find its way
to another heart
that had run out of words
before we ran out of hope.
I found beauty
in the listening,
in the sinking down
and holding —
in the willingness
to let go
and witness the unfolding
of this life from within.
I found my way
to the very center
of my heart.
And within the purity
of love
in that place,
I became
the quiet prayer
that had led me
to that moment
and continued on.
I found peace
in looking a little deeper —
through the stories
on the surface.
And though I couldn’t
quite explain
what I had found,
I saw that quiet space
in everything.
And I was changed
forever.
I hold this quiet prayer —
holding a little longer
in the stillness
between our two hearts —
holding where there is
no more waiting
to be free —
where there is peace.
Amen.
Sometimes love calls out,
having seen the beauty
of her own true essence
beneath all things.
Look deeper! She shouts,
only to be pushed aside.
But she remembers
that her voice
is heard most clearly
in a whisper
from her own deepest heart.
And embracing her grief —
as a quiet prayer —
she waits.
I asked my heart
how it could be in a world
that cannot hear its own voice,
watching as it goes through
what it must —
holding and loving tirelessly
in gentle support.
And so I let go
to listen
in the stillness
as my heart continued
to whisper.
I found the deepest healing
seemed to happen
just when I was sure
there was no way through,
when I didn’t give up,
but took one more step
in blind faith.
