A Little More Deeply

May 14, 2016May 14, 2016 Laurie's Notes

When there were

no more words,

I stopped waiting.

I stopped picking up

and looking for

all of the things

that were not quite

what I had thought.

And I listened

a little more deeply

with my heart

and honored,

a little more fully —

all that could not

be written.

In That Space

May 13, 2016 Laurie's Notes

I turned down the noise

around me

and inside.

And in that space,

I found my Self.

From Silence

May 5, 2016May 18, 2016 Laurie's Notes

I found simplicity

and grace

from silence,

a quiet joy

connecting me

with just the right thought

in just the right moment

and back

to the silent knowing

beyond it.

Where Words Couldn’t Go

May 5, 2016May 5, 2016 Laurie's Notes

I found there was

always space

within my heart.

And there was comfort

where words couldn’t go —

the silent places into which

they faded

and appeared again

in different forms

without ever losing

their true essence.

A Different Voice

May 2, 2016May 2, 2016 Laurie's Notes

Let our focus be

on listening

a little more deeply,

below the surface —

that we may hear

a different voice —

the quieter,

more subtle knowing

within.

Amen.

I Am This Peace

April 28, 2016April 28, 2016 Laurie's Notes

And so I hold

this me

that doesn’t need

to try to be

a certain way.

And though it feels

a little bit risky,

I hold on

just a little longer

and trust

just a little more deeply.

And I see that I am

this me.

I am this peace.

To Look With Love

April 13, 2016April 15, 2016 Laurie's Notes

I trust

in this moment.

I have all I need.

It is safe to be still —

to look with love

at all that is

in my heart

and in my world —

to intimately know

the peace

that is here.

Where All Was Love

April 13, 2016April 17, 2016 Laurie's Notes

And so there was

a quieting,

a sacred holding,

the journey within —

where all was dissolved

into the purest love.

Within the Stillness of My Heart

April 13, 2016April 13, 2016 Laurie's Notes

It was my willingness

to allow the surface

to be

a little unsorted

that led me

most directly

to the unseen beauty

and clarity

within the stillness

of my heart.

More Magical Than It Seems

April 12, 2016April 13, 2016 Laurie's Notes

Here, in the stillness,

there is calm

and comfort in knowing

that hidden within

whatever appears

is something just a little

more magical

than it seems.
