Quiet Reflections and Prayers
And so a quiet prayer
was whispered
and felt
beyond words.
And it was known
instantly,
without doubt —
by each piece
of self
in every last place
where it had been
forgotten
that it is
loved, heard,
nurtured, included
and cherished
in every new
moment
of now —
forever.
Amen
I chose to listen
to the quiet prayer
of my heart.
I learned to
feel into subtle
experiences and
knowings beyond thought
I searched for
peace and fell in
love with gentleness.
I allowed
my life to flow into
more gentleness —
for that was
what I had come
to do.
I found life wasn’t
as black and white
as I had once thought.
I found I was made up
of many parts.
And so was
everyone else.
I found that
not only was I not
any one part,
my parts contained
their own potentials.
There were pieces
of denial
to be released.
There were parts
I judged
and pushed against
and later embraced.
And there was
the day I realized
I was more
than the many parts
of the whole.
And I became
determined to remain
unsorted.
Thank you
for kindness.
Thank you for
smiles and notes
and true
connection.
Thank you for
quiet reflections
of peace
as I find
balance within
my own deepest
heart.
Amen
Thank you
for the continuous
quiet prayer
within my heart,
the one that lights
each needed step
as it appears
and holds me
safely
within each
new moment.
Amen
At a certain point,
letting go
of everything
became the only real
option.
There was a
gentle surrender,
a resetting of parts
ready to work
together
in new ways —
a release of the
continuous
dialogue of mind
that would have
held me back.
Life happened
within its own
unfolding.
It happened
within the search
for wholeness,
in the endless reaching
outward,
and in the
surrender to
the delicate balance
of meeting my own
whole Self in each
moment and holding
the pure love
of the sacred space
into which it
always returned.
The more I began
to focus
on what was
appearing
right in front
of me,
the more I felt
the presence
of my own
wholeness.
There was a holding
and letting go
of what appeared
on the surface
and a sense of
connection
I knew couldn’t be
lost.
Thank you for gentle
souls who dare
to keep going,
refuse to give up
hope,
and continue
to look for
and hold
magic found
in unlikely places —
no matter how
many times
their hearts seem
to shatter
or how many
pieces need to be
gathered or set
free.
Thank you for
tender heart
friends.

A little at a time,
I learned
to trust in
the natural flow
of life.
I learned to
wait a little longer
to form judgements
and interpretations.
I learned to
not wait so long
to reach
for the part
of me
that could see
a wider view
and offer just enough
in each moment.
