Quiet Reflections and Prayers
May we know
the meaning of
happiness a little more
intimately —
a little more deeply.
And may it be
naturally reflected.
Amen
Thank you
for the ability
to be gentle and loving
and the strength
to go against
what we must —
to follow
our own hearts.
Remind us of the beauty
that comes out of
living from a place
of true compassion.
Give us courage
to find our own
inner space
and to honor
this space in others —
to keep returning
and living
from here —
that we may
truly love.
Amen
Thank you
for each subtle reflection
of truth
and each quiet space
of in-between —
for each heart that whispers
and listens
through its own wounding
and understands
beyond thinking.
Amen.
When there are
no words
to express,
when there seems
to be no next move,
I will stand still.
I will honor
the space in our
deepest hearts.
And I will continue on —
as a prayer.
I kept searching
until I found
something that could
stop me
in my tracks.
I had let go
of many things.
I had tried so hard
for so long
to sort out
thoughts and all those
wounded places.
I had struggled
and given up.
I had been turned away
and breathed back.
But in that moment,
it was really much
simpler and
more tender
than that.
I found I was
the quiet prayer
in all of it.
Let the love
that is
who we are
at our deepest core
shine a little brighter.
Let there be
a beautiful space
in our hearts.
Let there be
peace.
Amen
Having been led
by this quiet prayer,
there was an even
deeper quieting
as I began to see
more clearly
from this place.
The change was so
beautiful and subtle
as everything that no longer
resonated
simply dissolved
into quiet awe —
a million words and none —
all at once.
I had to know
what was right
there with me,
an internal knowing
I seemed to have
lost —
a different kind
of thought
that bubbled up
subtly
more like sensing —
a quiet prayer
that, when followed,
led through challenges —
past all the surface hype —
back into real satisfaction
and lasting
calm —
naturally clearing away
every other question —
softening
everything in its path —
if only I could
remember the words.
Help us to
notice the place
in our our hearts
where there is
natural calm —
where all parts
are accepted
as they are —
where we intuitively
hold and set free —
where quiet prayers
are whispered and answered
as one movement
Amen
When it really
came down to it,
much of what
I thought I needed
wasn’t it.
It was enough
to quiet my heart
and follow
the quiet,
wordless prayer
I found there.
And it was there —
even as a whisper —
even when I
couldn’t hear.
It was at the bottom
of what I thought
was a search
for something else.
