I found my greatest
joy within
the quiet moments
where there was
nothing to do
but hold and honor
all that appeared
until it spilled over
and the essence
of every experience
became a prayer.
Quiet Reflections and Prayers
I found my greatest
joy within
the quiet moments
where there was
nothing to do
but hold and honor
all that appeared
until it spilled over
and the essence
of every experience
became a prayer.
I found
I could leave
my scattered thoughts
in a safe place.
I didn’t have to
sort them all
at once.
I could trust
my inner healer
to allow
just enough in each
moment.
And so I let go
a little more
into the space
within my heart.
From the outside,
the changes
seemed subtle
at first.
But from within,
it was clear
there was
something different
here —
a steady kind
of deepening,
a whisper of peace
where there had been
none,
a contentment
independent of
outer circumstances
and past struggles,
but always connected —
a life unfolding
sweetly
out of the quiet prayer
within my heart.
And there was nothing
subtle about that.
I am the space
within my heart,
protected and safe —
free to flow in
any direction
without effort,
without trying
to seek
or learn
or perfect.
I am this —
as I have always
been.
It began as
a hint of self-love,
a quiet prayer
passed gently
by one or two
who dared
to risk dwelling
in unexplored places
within the heart.
It continued on
as compassion —
carried carefully
by those who had
discovered,
in their own way,
the pain
and beauty
in holding
a separate perspective
and set of original
experiences
that couldn’t be
shared,
not really —
and the tenderness
in reaching
from this place.
At a certain point
there were no preformed
words —
only the deepening
sense of surrender
to the unfolding
of life
without holding
back —
this flowing love
embracing
more of itself,
naturally —
until it wasn’t clear
exactly
where holding and
letting go
had become
one.
May we find
a place of
stillness within.
And may we
live
from this place.
Amen
There was a
tenderness
that came out of
having dared to
set down everything
I thought I knew,
for a moment —
so that I could
know my own deepest
heart.
I found my deepest
peace
in turning
down the volume
around me
and within
just enough
so that I could
feel
my own quiet
prayer.
And so I always
returned to
this.
I found my way
to the gentle healer
within,
the part
that had included
and transformed
other parts
of me.
And I found
the deepest kind
of relief
and calm
as she reached
for the parts
that had been carefully
hidden.
