There were moments
of truth
where only those
willing to stand
without preformed thought
and my own
willingness to be
in that place
could go.
The Quiet Place Within
May we see ourselves
from a higher place,
honoring our wounds
and our wholeness —
never losing touch
with the quiet place
within —
where unconditional love,
true healing and compassion
are born.

Where There Were No Words
I came to the place
where there were
no words.
And I knew it was
my own wordless honoring
I had been searching
to find
through all of my attempts
at understanding
and healing.
A Little More Deeply
When there were
no more words,
I stopped waiting.
I stopped picking up
and looking for
all of the things
that were not quite
what I had thought.
And I listened
a little more deeply
with my heart
and honored,
a little more fully —
all that could not
be written.
For a While
For a while,
it seemed fitting
to find just the right words
to reflect
what I had found
in my heart.
And then, to my surprise,
I found it rather beautiful
to let the words come
more naturally
from a little deeper me —
even if they felt
a little less graceful
at first —
even if there were
no words at all.
In That Space
I turned down the noise
around me
and inside.
And in that space,
I found my Self.

No Words At All
For a moment,
I let go of the pieces
of my heart,
set them down gently,
those that seemed
a little broken
or unsettled
and those that had
been mended.
And there was
a beautiful silence,
the purest kind of love
that had no words at all.
In Quieter Places
I was reminded
many times
of the power
in allowing life to flow
around me
without trying to do
or create
more than my part.
And I remembered the strength
and wisdom I found
in quieter places
and the joy of being
part of a greater whole.
Instead of Trying
I found great strength
in the willingness
to show up —
to honor and see
a little past
what appeared
on the surface —
to hold a space
instead of trying
to fill it up.
In Pieces
All of the little
parts of me
began to fade
just enough
to always be connected
with my whole Self.
But I continued on
with honor
and the quiet joy
and compassion
that came out of being whole
and also in pieces.
