Let the noise
within
be quieted,
just enough —
that we may hear
our own quiet prayers
and know
without doubt
that we could never be
apart.
Amen
Quiet Reflections and Prayers
Let the noise
within
be quieted,
just enough —
that we may hear
our own quiet prayers
and know
without doubt
that we could never be
apart.
Amen
Let me be
the quiet prayer
that led me
gently through
all things
and safely back
to the silence
of my own
deepest heart.
Amen
Finally there was
no more path —
except to turn around
and stand still
in my heart.
— Laurie, from earlier notes
Because I had tired
of the endless searching,
I dared to go
to the edge —
past the pieces
I had tried to fit
together and arrange,
beyond the chaos
on the surface
and below,
not giving up,
not waiting for
one more minute
or one more
reason to turn back —
determined to
find my way
to the very center
of my heart
in that very moment —
where there was calm.
When there were
no words to match,
when the outer world
failed to reflect
what was most true,
I vowed to stand stilll,
to hold my ground —
to never again
let go
of the stillness
within my heart.
And so this life
continued to unfold
as I settled in
to my deepest heart
without the desire
this time
for my questions
to be answered —
with a subtle knowing
I couldn’t quite name —
holding instead
and being held
by the great mystery itself.
I hold what is here
like a silent prayer,
a quiet acknowledgement —
a reverence.
It isn’t something
I learned.
It is trusting
my inner healer,
my own inner knowing —
an innate understanding.
This holding reaches
deep into my being —
touching a place
that couldn’t be reached
in other ways.
— Laurie, Heart Space
There was a deepening,
a surrender,
a sinking in
to my own deepest heart.
And though there were
no words to describe
or explain,
there came, instead,
the sweetest
kind of silence
as each attempt
was replaced by
a simple, quiet prayer
and faded effortlessly
back into nothing.
When there was
nothing left to do
but continue on,
when my spirit
became tired,
I remembered
the subtle notes,
the endess quiet prayer
from a deeper place
beyond what could
be seen
or understood —
carefully set in place
and held safely
within my heart
and yours.
When words become
tiresome,
speak with your heart.
I will feel
the message.
