From a quiet prayer,
having been embraced
by my own
inner healer,
the background
began to shift
ever so gently
to the foreground.
All the noise
that had once sent
my heart searching
for healing
settled down.
And there was peace
within
and around me.
Quiet Reflections and Prayers
From a quiet prayer,
having been embraced
by my own
inner healer,
the background
began to shift
ever so gently
to the foreground.
All the noise
that had once sent
my heart searching
for healing
settled down.
And there was peace
within
and around me.
When the world
around us
becomes noisy,
when parts of us
have forgotten
the sacred space
from which
we started,
remind us
to hold this space
a little tighter.
Lead us gently back
to quiet places
and safe arms —
that we may be
the healers
and sacred guardians
that we are.
Amen
…
May these words be joined with others.
I eventually chose
healing above
all else.
I chose to use
every experience,
without exception,
as a stepping stone
to the place
of neutrality —
where there was
a quieting,
a letting go –
a reconnection
and resetting —
where clear thought,
and actions
could arise.
And I found
each moment
of reconnection
far outweighed
anything I had tried
in its place.
Let me be
quiet
and empty —
that I might
hear the prayer
of my heart.
Amen
I began to listen
to the one
continuous prayer
of my heart.
And though it was
painfully subtle
at times,
I came to know
this quiet prayer
as my deepest
connection
and healing.
Remind us
of the power
in our willingness
to pause
for a moment —
to go within —
to honor
what is here
as it is —
allowing what is
naturally transforming
and returning to
the quiet space
that is
forever.
Amen
There were no words
to express
the purity of love found
uopn surrendering
each carefully gathered
piece of my own heart.
And so without a word
and nothing left
to hold,
I held the space left
in their place
as quiet prayers.
I hold this space
in my heart
in honor
of all that has seemed
unhealable,
all that continues
to reach
when it would have been
understandable to give up
the search.
I hold this space
because I know
I don’t hold it alone
and because I have felt
the relief
in finding a safe place
when it is needed most.
Amen
I found a certain joy
in listening
to life —
holding moments
and thoughts
and letting go —
listening without needing
to cling
or becoming stale —
joining the continuous
motion of life —
noticing the quiet stillness
in all if it.
There was less
of a need
to form solid conclusions
and interpret meaning
in each experience.
Instead, there was
a sense of being
part of life,
naturally contributing
my part —
quieting my own heart
a little more with
each unnarrated moment
and carrying on.
