May I meet
this world
and the noise
within
with the grace
of knowing
all parts of myself
and the silence
of my own
deepest heart —
underneath.
When I am tempted
to go a different way,
lead me gently
back.
Amen
Quiet Reflections and Prayers
May I meet
this world
and the noise
within
with the grace
of knowing
all parts of myself
and the silence
of my own
deepest heart —
underneath.
When I am tempted
to go a different way,
lead me gently
back.
Amen
I thought
I wanted to be
understood
or fixed.
But when it really
got down to it,
I wanted only
to find a place
where it was
safe
just to be me.
At times,
the silence
was painfully
subtle.
But the reflections
that flowed
out of this place
were tender
and led so sweetly
back to this silent
space —
at the bottom
of a prayer.
I stopped
needing to try
so hard
to be okay.
The need to
neatly sort
all of life
was replaced
by a peace
in holding
and letting go
of everything —
as a prayer.
Thank you
for small moments
of in-between —
for this is where
I can hear
my own
quiet voice.
Amen
The most subtle
shifting began
to happen —
a raising up
of all things
interconnected.
All that was
entangled began
to meet
the steadiness
and grace
naturally present
in the stillness
of my deepest heart.
I declare a truce,
a respite,
a little space
for healing —
here,
in the stillness
of my heart.
— Laurie, Heart Space
There is a place
in my heart
where peace exists.
Whatever is
around me,
however I am feeling,
there is peace
here —
even now.
— Laurie, What’s Right Here
It had not been
an easy path.
But the memories
of the journey
were sweet.
Wounded places
had transformed
themselves into
treasured tender spaces.
Thoughts of separation
had become
prayers of gratitude
and support
to all parts
still in transformation —
arising out of
and leading
safely back to
this now treasured
space within
our deepest hearts.
When the world
becomes noisy
and I can’t fit
all of the pieces
together,
I will stand still
in my heart.
And I will
find comfort —
knowing I am
held with love.
Amen
