The more I began
to focus
on what was
appearing
right in front
of me,
the more I felt
the presence
of my own
wholeness.
There was a holding
and letting go
of what appeared
on the surface
and a sense of
connection
I knew couldn’t be
lost.
Quiet Reflections and Prayers
The more I began
to focus
on what was
appearing
right in front
of me,
the more I felt
the presence
of my own
wholeness.
There was a holding
and letting go
of what appeared
on the surface
and a sense of
connection
I knew couldn’t be
lost.
A little at a time,
I learned
to trust in
the natural flow
of life.
I learned to
wait a little longer
to form judgements
and interpretations.
I learned to
not wait so long
to reach
for the part
of me
that could see
a wider view
and offer just enough
in each moment.
There was a
softening
of the story
on the surface,
a gentle resetting.
The default emotion
become one of
peace,
the very thing
my heart had
longed for
and called me to.
There was a more
natural connection
with all of life,
a gentle unfolding
of the quiet prayer
within my heart.
Silent pauses became
welcome parts
of the relaxation into
a gentler way
of being.
I am healer.
When times get hard,
I stand firm.
With gentleness
and love,
I reclaim each part
of me.
When the outer world
becomes noisy
and my inner pain
is too much,
I begin by stopping
and find relief
in walking through.
— What’s Right Here
It was always
tender
to reach the point
where words couldn’t
go —
where my own
questions, directed
outward, became added
noise.
And I knew it was
up to me
to interpret the
unspoken
wisdom of my heart
once more —
as best I could —
without knowing
exactly how.
I learned how to
walk through difficult
times.
I learned to
alter my perspective,
shift my own
emotions,
and focus my
attention.
I learned to heal
the present
and the past —
because I dared
to listen
to the quiet prayer
within my heart.
There was a quality
of persistence
joined with self-restraint
needed to ride
subtle energies
that led to a deepening
inner peace.
Quiet prayers
and increasing desire
to know my own
soul voice
just a little more
intimately
carried me gently
as I continued on.
The more I explored
being with myself
in a new way,
the more I
understood what it was
I was noticing.
It wasn’t the surface
details so much.
I had allowed those
to blur a bit.
It was my own
essence I began
to notice.
It didn’t have
words.
It was subtle
at first.
But I found I could
focus on what was
most healed
in me.
And somehow,
ever so gently,
outer experiences
began to meet
the essence
of my own deepest
heart.
I found that
what was most
important
was my willingness
to show up
to meet whatever
showed up
in each new
moment
with fresh eyes —
holding, honoring
and letting go.
I realized healing
could be
beautiful and
gentle —
a sacred journey.
And so
I came to this
clear space
in my heart
where I could be
with myself
in a different way —
where I could
listen
for my true voice
that was always
with me —
where I could find
comfort
and connection.
