Each Quiet Prayer

May 18, 2016May 18, 2016 Laurie's Notes

I found there was

a natural reaching

that came out of

each silent surrender

and each quiet prayer.

And I no longer needed

to be sorted out

or understood.

I only needed a hand

and just enough hope

to allow the true me

to emerge.

The Quiet Place Within

May 16, 2016May 16, 2016 Laurie's Notes

May we see ourselves

from a higher place,

honoring our wounds

and our wholeness —

never losing touch

with the quiet place

within —

where unconditional love,

true healing and compassion

are born.

Amen

Quieting

A Different Voice

May 2, 2016May 2, 2016 Laurie's Notes

Let our focus be

on listening

a little more deeply,

below the surface —

that we may hear

a different voice —

the quieter,

more subtle knowing

within.

Amen.

In My Heart

Thank you

for being here

and for the little signs

in my heart

and in the world

that you are.

Amen

Continuing On

Carried Safely Back

April 16, 2016April 16, 2016 Laurie's Notes

I continued on,

no longer needing

to fill the emptiness

or sort all of the pieces,

trusting completely

in the unsorted heart

and in the mystery

that had carried me

safely back

to my own silent prayers.

Letting Go

From My Heart

April 16, 2016April 25, 2016 Laurie's Notes

I wish

to free myself

a little more —

living authentically

from my heart

in each moment

and letting go of the need

to know the end of the story

too soon.

Holding

Wordless Prayers

April 15, 2016April 16, 2016 Laurie's Notes

At a certain point,

there was nothing else

to do

but hold and honor

all that couldn’t be sorted

and trust

in the mysterious power

of wordless prayers.

As It Is

April 8, 2016April 8, 2016 Laurie's Notes

I hold what is here

with love,

the natural unfolding,

this clear space,

the reverence —

all of this,

including all that is

painful and confusing.

I accept and love

all of it

as it is —

right here.

Amen.

I hold this

silent prayer

in my heart —
