All That Was Beautiful

December 11, 2017December 11, 2017 Laurie's Notes

There was something

tender about walking

through intense darkness

and intense light.

There was a

very real choice in

each moment to reach

more deeply into my Self

and to offer my love

more intensely to the world —

to align with all that was

beautiful about being alive

and to live as a prayer —

no matter what.

Prayers

From Within

December 5, 2017December 6, 2017 Laurie's Notes

Help us to remember that underneath

all that appears is a quiet space —

where we know we are more than

the parts we play.

Remind us of the sacred art of healing

from within. Amen

Hidden Safely Beyond

December 3, 2017December 12, 2017 Laurie's Notes

It was comforting

to find

that somewhere

hidden safely beyond

whatever appeared

was something

a little purer.

It just took a moment

to adjust

to being without

so many added

layers of thought.

This Time With My Heart

December 1, 2017December 12, 2017 Laurie's Notes

For a while it seemed

the magic had been

forever lost.

But it was

there within

the subtle way

I learned to

start again

and listen a little more

intently —

this time with my

heart.

Softening

December 1, 2017November 6, 2022 Laurie's Notes

When the world seems

most noisy, point us to our

hearts. Speak through us,

reminding all parts of us of

our mission to reflect

what is within

into a world in need of

softening. Amen

Quieting Prayer

November 19, 2017December 8, 2017 Laurie's Notes

Quiet our hearts, just enough —

that we may know the love

beneath all things.

Give us courage to choose,

in each moment,

where to go from here. Amen

Waiting for Words

Waiting for Words

November 8, 2017November 8, 2017 Laurie's Notes

I found there is

a prayer

within us all,

a whisper of hope

gently quieting our

hearts —

reaching through

old wounds and labels —

gathering pieces

of a gentler story

waiting to be

told.

From Within

November 3, 2017November 3, 2017 Laurie's Notes

I learned the value

in aligning

with my own

heart.

Old patterns

fell away as

I continued to love

all of the many

different parts of

Self.

The goal in each

new moment became

accepting and

integrating parts of

the whole,

allowing love

to flow more freely

from within.

Beyond

November 3, 2017December 18, 2017 Laurie's Notes

There was a settling

down into my heart

that continued to deepen.

I began to understand

beyond thinking

and listen beyond words.

I learned to hold

my own shadows

and light —

letting go of ideas

held too tightly

in exchange for

the lightness

of compassion for

myself and others

and the renewed strength

to continue on

as a clearer reflection

of my own quiet

prayer.

Gentleness

October 31, 2017October 31, 2017 Laurie's Notes

Softening became

a choice

in each moment

as I learned

to trust my own heart

a little more

completely.

Experiences began to

match the gentleness

of my own quiet

prayers.
