Thank you
for the continuous
quiet prayer
within my heart,
the one that lights
each needed step
as it appears
and holds me
safely
within each
new moment.

Quiet Reflections and Prayers
Thank you
for the continuous
quiet prayer
within my heart,
the one that lights
each needed step
as it appears
and holds me
safely
within each
new moment.
Amen
At a certain point,
letting go
of everything
became the only real
option.
There was a
gentle surrender,
a resetting of parts
ready to work
together
in new ways —
a release of the
continuous
dialogue of mind
that would have
held me back.
Life happened
within its own
unfolding.
It happened
within the search
for wholeness,
in the endless reaching
outward,
and in the
surrender to
the delicate balance
of meeting my own
whole Self in each
moment and holding
the pure love
of the sacred space
into which it
always returned.
Thank you for gentle
souls who dare
to keep going,
refuse to give up
hope,
and continue
to look for
and hold
magic found
in unlikely places —
no matter how
many times
their hearts seem
to shatter
or how many
pieces need to be
gathered or set
free.
Thank you for
tender heart
friends.
Amen
A little at a time,
I learned
to trust in
the natural flow
of life.
I learned to
wait a little longer
to form judgements
and interpretations.
I learned to
not wait so long
to reach
for the part
of me
that could see
a wider view
and offer just enough
in each moment.
There was a
softening
of the story
on the surface,
a gentle resetting.
The default emotion
become one of
peace,
the very thing
my heart had
longed for
and called me to.
There was a more
natural connection
with all of life,
a gentle unfolding
of the quiet prayer
within my heart.
Silent pauses became
welcome parts
of the relaxation into
a gentler way
of being.
I found life to be
more complex
than the old
boxed-in thought
that had made sense
for a while.
It wasn’t about
being on the right
team
or choosing
one clear path
over another.
It was about
becoming honest
with myself
and seeing parts of me
in others,
even the most difficult
to face
or heal.
It was about
refusing to stay
stuck in old patterns
and daring to find
creative solutions
when there seemed to be
none.
There remained
a lingering sadness
touched by tenderness.
There were difficult
moments
and hands to reach
out to
when reminders came
of the sometimes
difficult path.
There was a knowing
and a compassion
I wouldn’t have
traded in
for the journey back
to my own heart.
It was always
tender
to reach the point
where words couldn’t
go —
where my own
questions, directed
outward, became added
noise.
And I knew it was
up to me
to interpret the
unspoken
wisdom of my heart
once more —
as best I could —
without knowing
exactly how.
I learned how to
walk through difficult
times.
I learned to
alter my perspective,
shift my own
emotions,
and focus my
attention.
I learned to heal
the present
and the past —
because I dared
to listen
to the quiet prayer
within my heart.
