And so I began
to show up
in a new way,
with only a quiet prayer
in my heart
and a mind free
of clutter,
not because it had been
neatly sorted out —
but because it hadn’t.
Quiet Reflections and Prayers
And so I began
to show up
in a new way,
with only a quiet prayer
in my heart
and a mind free
of clutter,
not because it had been
neatly sorted out —
but because it hadn’t.
What a funny thing
to realize there was
really nothing
to piece together
or figure out
or search for
so deeply.
I only had to
to find courage
to stop all that trying.
Let us hold
this space for healing
within our hearts.
Even as the outer world
goes through
its own transformations
and we are faced with
all that appears —
all in need
of honoring —
all that needs
to be released,
let us hold
this space
that needs nothing else.
Amen
Help me to hold
what is here
with love —
to meet this moment
with honor
and grace,
the kind of grace
that allows
all that has been
too painful
or too much
to naturally transform itself
back into
its purest form.
Amen
There is peace
in all that is here —
refusing to be
packaged up neatly,
honored to be
as it is.
— Laurie, What’s Right Here
I believe
in the power
of pure love
and transformation.
I choose to follow
the path
of my heart
and stand
in the fire
of my soul.
— Laurie, What’s Right Here
When there are
no more words,
when it is enough
just to be a part
of a living mystery,
I will hold this
silent prayer
and listen
a little more deeply
with my heart.
Amen
Remind us
of the sacredness
of the return to
the heart.
May we know
the joy found
in showing up
with reverence
for the quiet prayer
leading each of us.
Amen
I hold this silent prayer
in my heart
in honor of
all that has been
unloved,
misinterpreted,
and judged.
I meet it this time
with a place of honor,
respect and
unconditional love
for self and other.
Amen
Having experienced
the true beauty
of being part
of a living, breathing
aliveness
bigger than my own
personal,
often very difficult journey,
after having risked
everything to find it,
there was no pain
big enough
to overshadow its tenderness
and no desire
to go back.
