Quiet Reflections and Prayers
Help me to hold
all that is here.
Remind me
of the tenderness
born out of pain,
shared in pure love,
leading us back
to ourselves.
Help me to honor
this love
a little more deeply —
to be this love
so sweetly —
that through our
shared willingness
to hear it
above all else,
we may open
another door home.
Amen
And so I began
to listen
to a softer voice,
one that seemed
to begin
as a whisper.
And though there was
great shaking
as old ways
faded,
I held on to
the quiet place
in my own heart —
letting go
of all that left.
And though
there was pain
in going this way,
all I remember
is the tenderness
of the gentle whisper
from my own heart
reminding always,
no matter what,
I’m still here.
I know it is
possible to stay
firmly planted
in my heart,
even as past pain
and intense emotions
are being transformed.
May we always find
strength
and the effortless place
of calm
within our deepest hearts —
no matter what
is playing out
on the surface.
May all that is present
be honored.

From a quiet prayer,
having been embraced
by my own
inner healer,
the background
began to shift
ever so gently
to the foreground.
All the noise
that had once sent
my heart searching
for healing
settled down.
And there was peace
within
and around me.
When the world
around us
becomes noisy,
when parts of us
have forgotten
the sacred space
from which
we started,
remind us
to hold this space
a little tighter.
Lead us gently back
to quiet places
and safe arms —
that we may be
the healers
and sacred guardians
that we are.

May these words be joined with others.
By grace,
I remembered
the power
of staying centered
within my heart
while offering
my part in the unfolding
of the story
we all share.
I healed
my own heart,
transformed darkness
within myself,
held and let go
of all parts
of me —
traded in every last
resentment in the search
for a deeper truth
and the slightest bit
of hope
for the remembrance
of this sacred journey
called life.
I healed
and transformed trauma
and found
a quiet prayer
connected with truth
and compassion
for all
could travel far —
reaching places
where few words
could go —
joining together
with others —
healing what had seemed
unhealable.
I honored
and traded
my own story
for a prayer.
And so I offer
this living prayer
always.

Help me to offer
my part.
Guide me gently —
that I may express
what is in my heart
in a way that
is most beneficial
to all.
Let me be the living
prayer I was intended
to be
in the first place.

I hold this world lightly
as a living prayer,
this same quiet prayer
that called out
from within
and healed
my own heart
not so long ago —
the whisper of hope
I once thought
could be lost.
May we be
gently guided.
And may we find
comfort in each step.

I honor each challenge
overcome today,
each choice to listen
to our hearts
and to each other.
May these gestures
be our stepping stones
to a gentler path.

dishonored,
misunderstood
