There is a certain kind
of joy
in not trying
to attract or create
a certain thing
or experience —
noticing the perfect
unfolding
in its purest form
and honoring
all that is simply true.
Quiet Reflections and Prayers
There is a certain kind
of joy
in not trying
to attract or create
a certain thing
or experience —
noticing the perfect
unfolding
in its purest form
and honoring
all that is simply true.
I return again
to silence —
to listen
with the very heart
I once viewed
as broken,
to stand still
where I was once
afraid to pass through —
to find
my deepest comfort
in all that I couldn’t
quite fit together.
— Laurie, What’s Right Here
I hold what is here
with love,
the natural unfolding,
this clear space,
the reverence —
all of this,
including all that is
painful and confusing.
I accept and love
all of it
as it is —
right here.
Amen.
I came to this
clear space in my heart
where I could be
with my Self
in a different way,
where I could listen
for my true voice
that was always with me,
where I could find comfort
and connection.
I found what was
most important was
my own willingness
to show up
and to meet each
new moment
as it appeared.
I found life could be
beautiful and gentle —
a sacred journey.
I hold
my peace
in this
quiet prayer.
Amen
— Jordyn
I hold this space
in my heart,
this once forgotten place,
in honor
of all that is gentle
and soft
and all that is mysterious
and unloved –
knowing that,
in this place,
nothing else is needed.
I loosened my grip
on what was
appearing on the surface,
focusing on the clear space
within my heart.
And this space seemed
to grow —
until there was
nothing else.
When life got noisy,
I learned to turn around
and focus
on the clear space
within,
honoring your journey
and mine,
as we continued
as both wholeness
and unfolding healing
and grace.
I learned to be
in the world
as both human
and healer,
letting go a little more
of the need for labels
and tightly held concepts,
no longer needing
the outer world
to understand
or validate
what I had found
through focusing
within my heart —
never losing the natural essence
of my own unique expression
or the place where we are
the same.
In honor of the sacred journey back to our true essence.

At times,
the path seemed
to unfold slowly.
But it always returned me
to the quiet joy
in the unfolding
and my willingness
to continue on —
as a prayer.
