Quiet Reflections and Prayers
I believe
healing can be
beautiful and gentle —
magical even.
Let us always
remember the power
of one quiet prayer.
Amen
I found
what’s right here
is more real
and more beautiful
than any idea
of some future
or past
perfect state.
Help us to hold
what is here.
Amen
I gathered up
all of the pieces
I once thought
were broken.
And there was
a quieting,
a listening
silent prayer —
no more pushing,
or needing anything
to change.
It was enough
to know
we shared this space
in our hearts.
Help us
to hold a space
for ourselves
and each other.
Remind us
of the power
in remaining
rooted in our hearts.
Help us to trust
in this natural flow
that has carried us
through unfolding stories,
into silence
and back.
Thank you
for each heart
in which true peace
is held.
Amen
And so it was
this deep listening
prayer
that reached down
into the places
in me
that couldn’t be
reached in other ways —
healing
and reminding me
how to listen
with my heart.
Help us
to see through
all that has
blinded us
from ourselves
and each other.
Remind us of
our true strength
and beauty.
Teach us to honor
both our wholeness
and our brokenness.
Quiet our hearts
and guide us
gently back
to this place
of neutrality —
if only for a moment,
if only in
our own hearts.
Amen
Because I had felt
the subtle shifting
at the bottom
of my heart
and noticed
its reflection
outside of me,
I continued on —
keeping my focus
in my heart —
whispering,
feeling,
and being
that same quiet prayer
I had followed
so long ago —
when it was
all that was left.
When we feel
most lost
and disconnected,
hold us steady.
Remind us we are
rooted firmly
and held
in a deeper place.
Amen
I stand still
in my heart —
in honor of
all that remains
unhealed in me
and in the world.
I honor
the mystery,
the sacred journey,
and the enduring
peace in this place.
I offer
this quiet prayer
as others have done
for me.
Amen
When we reach the place where there are no more words, I will sit with you. And I will wait. And I will hold a different kind of prayer, the one that comes from our deepest hearts — the one whispered to my own soul in my darkest hour. And I will become this silent prayer that listens and vows to hold this place in me and in you — forever. Amen.
