My Dear Inner Healer,
If I should ever forget
the sacredness
of this journey,
if I should ever
feel lost
or disconnected,
remind me to listen
with my heart.
Wrap me in
your arms
and hold me close
forever and ever
Amen
Quiet Reflections and Prayers
My Dear Inner Healer,
If I should ever forget
the sacredness
of this journey,
if I should ever
feel lost
or disconnected,
remind me to listen
with my heart.
Wrap me in
your arms
and hold me close
forever and ever
Amen
As the challenges
and transformations
of this life
continue to be,
help us to remember
what is most true,
to have courage
to move in the direction
of truth,
to see from a higher place
and to feel
from below the surface —
to remain firmly
rooted in
a love unmatched
and unaffected by anything
in this world
but its own clear reflection.
Amen
And so I continued on —
holding what appeared
in front of me —
listening with my heart
and letting go
as it faded
and changed before me —
laughing at the silliness
of having tried
so hard
to figure out this life,
grateful that it had
led me safely back
to this state of prayer.
Let our hearts
be open.
Let our wounded places
be held —
reminding us
of our true nature,
helping us to continue on
when we feel like
giving up —
guiding us safely back
to the subtle,
wordless beauty
hidden somewhere
in-between the letting go
and rising above.
Amen
There was a deepening,
a surrender,
a sinking in
to my own deepest heart.
And though there were
no words to describe
or explain,
there came, instead,
the sweetest
kind of silence
as each attempt
was replaced by
a simple, quiet prayer
and faded effortlessly
back into nothing.
When there was
nothing left to do
but continue on,
when my spirit
became tired,
I remembered
the subtle notes,
the endess quiet prayer
from a deeper place
beyond what could
be seen
or understood —
carefully set in place
and held safely
within my heart
and yours.
When words become
tiresome,
speak with your heart.
I will feel
the message.
— Laurie, What’s Right Here
I found I only needed
to know the very next step
in front of me.
Though it was often
painful to stand
right where I was,
I learned to respect
this place
of in-between,
to focus within —
to honor the journey
and live from
the quiet prayer
that had led me to
the most precious treasures —
resetting again and again
and continuing on.
Thank you
for each step
of the mysterious
unfolding of life.
Help me to honor
the tender places,
my greatest challenges —
all unsorted pieces
that led me
to this moment
of reprieve.
Amen
When life on the surface
becomes messy,
remind me
to sink a little
deeper in
and reach a little
higher up.
Help me to release
the projections placed
on myself and others,
to move with honor
and compassion
and continue on
from here.
Amen
