Quiet Reflections and Prayers
In place of
the disconnect
and old dialogues
that used to happen,
all that was
in support of
the deepest kind
of healing
began to rise up.
Old wounds were
honored,
not acted out —
not sifted through.
There was a
new network
of support —
firmly held in place
from a little deeper
down.
AlI I had struggled with
for so long
on the surface
appeared much different
from the center
of my heart.
All of my
wounded places
were seen through
as parts of a whole
to be honored.
And that 3D reality
I had struggled with
began to,
ever so subtly  —
shift…
from the deep
compassion there
in the holding
of each fractured piece
of my own heart
from within.
And I vowed to
never again let go
of this place,
no matter what
appeared on the surface.
Manipulating the surface
seemed a little silly
after that.
After a while,
it became clear
that what mattered most
was the inner state
and my willingness
to allow this space
to be naturally reflected —
to hold my ground
and filter what was true
in my heart.
And so I hold
this space
above all else.

Help me to stay
firmly planted
in my deepest heart.
Let this sacred space
be the foreground
of my experience
in the world.
Reflect my silent prayers.
Guide my steps
in this moment
and the next.
Amen
Thank you for each
bit of hope
shared on this
sacred journey
of life.
Thank you for art
in all forms —
for the mysterious
way it arises
and leads us back
to the silent spaces
within our own hearts.
Thank you for each
heart willing
to show up,
to create
and to listen
to quiet prayers
and continue on.
Amen
Help us to allow
all that is pure
and true
to flow out
in art and actions
and quiet prayers.
Let us search
our own wounded places
for compassion
beyond understanding.
Create sacred space
where there is none.
Help us to find
a gentler way.
Amen
Help me to hold
all that is here.
Remind me
of the tenderness
born out of pain,
shared in pure love,
leading us back
to ourselves.
Help me to honor
this love
a little more deeply —
to be this love
so sweetly —
that through our
shared willingness
to hear it
above all else,
we may open
another door home.

I found
life wasn’t quite as
black and white
as I had thought.
I found love wasn’t
about covering up
or fixing.
Somehow,
peace wasn’t
some distant goal
to be achieved,
and the most
loving thing
often meant allowing
myself and others
to be gently guided
through the tender places
that remained
unhealed.

I know it is
possible to stay
firmly planted
in my heart,
even as past pain
and intense emotions
are being transformed.
May we always find
strength
and the effortless place
of calm
within our deepest hearts —
no matter what
is playing out
on the surface.
