When there is
much to sort through,
remind me
to focus within.
Help me
to be present
in this moment —
In my heart.
I know it is
just enough.
Amen
Quiet Reflections and Prayers
When there is
much to sort through,
remind me
to focus within.
Help me
to be present
in this moment —
In my heart.
I know it is
just enough.
Amen
I honor the parts
of this life
that refuse
to be sorted out
and limited
by labels and
continuing stories.
I honor each part
of us
that rises up
to write a new story —
this time
from the heart.
Amen
I began to listen
to the one
continuous prayer
of my heart.
And though it was
painfully subtle
at times,
I came to know
this quiet prayer
as my deepest
connection
and healing.
Within this
state of prayer,
I hold,
ever so lightly,
what is in front
of me —
gently setting down
all else.
Amen
I return
in stillness
and in honor
of what is always
and only
right here,
seemingly distant,
yet instantly close —
so blindingly beautiful
that I would sit
forever —
just to hear
one more sweet whisper
of truth.
— Laurie, What’s Right Here
No longer needing
to be neatly sorted,
I continued on
in search
of my own
true voice —
honoring all that had
gone before —
following the
painfully subtle
whispers —
gently shedding
all that was
no longer needed —
continuing on
as a prayer
that would forever
find its way.
I hold this
silent prayer
in my heart –
for there are
no words
to express
what is here.
Amen
Remind me
of the magic
found within
the very center
of our hearts,
the silence
that is always here —
that I may find
the thoughts that form
from a deeper me.
Amen
Within the great
unlayering
of my heart
and the holding of
each precious piece,
I found
the most beautiful
treasure —
the gentle,
natural setting down
of all that was
no longer needed —
knowing nothing real
could ever be lost.
I offer this prayer
in quiet surrender
of every last piece
of what I could
never sort alone.
I hold only
this sacred space
in its place —
in honor of
pure love.
Amen
