Quiet Reflections and Prayers
Thank you
for each
precious piece
reflecting
a new story —
this time
from the heart.
Amen
I declare a truce,
a respite,
a little space
for healing —
here,
in the stillness
of my heart.
— Laurie, Heart Space
It was neccesary
to find
space for healing
in my own heart.
And so there was
a quieting,
a sinking down —
a leaping past
old triggers and
thoughts
for a moment
so that I could
turn around
and walk through
all that was in need
of healing
from a different direction —
out of silence.
There is a place
in my heart
where peace exists.
Whatever is
around me,
however I am feeling,
there is peace
here —
even now.
— Laurie, What’s Right Here
Perhaps the most
beautiful part
of transformation
is knowing
the place of
in-between —
that first intimate,
still moment
of remembrance
that these are
tender times —
right here,
when no thought
of some distant goal
appears sweeter
and all past memories
take on the taste
of that one moment
of purity
forever.
Let us be
steadfast
in our own
evolution.
Let us remain
centered in our own
deepest hearts,
moved to action
from this place
and not the shifting
ground around us.
Help us to hold
this sacred space
above all else.
Amen
After a while,
it became clear
that what mattered most
was the inner state
and my willingness
to allow this space
to be naturally reflected —
to hold my ground
and filter what was true
in my heart.
And so I hold
this space
above all else.
Amen
Help me to stay
firmly planted
in my deepest heart.
Let this sacred space
be the foreground
of my experience
in the world.
Reflect my silent prayers.
Guide my steps
in this moment
and the next.
Amen
Help me to hold
all that is here.
Remind me
of the tenderness
born out of pain,
shared in pure love,
leading us back
to ourselves.
Help me to honor
this love
a little more deeply —
to be this love
so sweetly —
that through our
shared willingness
to hear it
above all else,
we may open
another door home.
Amen
And so I began
to listen
to a softer voice,
one that seemed
to begin
as a whisper.
And though there was
great shaking
as old ways
faded,
I held on to
the quiet place
in my own heart —
letting go
of all that left.
And though
there was pain
in going this way,
all I remember
is the tenderness
of the gentle whisper
from my own heart
reminding always,
no matter what,
I’m still here.
