There was a kind
of relief
in realizing
I didn’t need to
fit all of the pieces
together.

force feeling better.
I didn’t need
to force anything
or be anything
other than what
was there
naturally —
underneath.

The point
in taking this path,
if there was one,

to some
sorted out place,
but to see
that wherever I landed
within
this delicate process
of holding and letting go
was a beautiful part
of the whole.
