There was a deepening,
a stepping back
into the healing space
within my heart —
where I found
I was most naturally
capable of holding,
honoring and transforming,
with love —
all that found its way
to this space,
this me.
Quiet Reflections and Prayers
There was a deepening,
a stepping back
into the healing space
within my heart —
where I found
I was most naturally
capable of holding,
honoring and transforming,
with love —
all that found its way
to this space,
this me.
There was a quieting,
a surrender into
the truest me,
a letting go
of the need
to arrange all of
the pieces
of a heart I believed
to be broken —
the most natural
kind of peace —
just a little deeper
down.
When the outer world
seems most chaotic,
remind me
of the calm within
that carries me
safely through
all circumstances.
Help me to listen
a little more deeply
when I am most tempted
to turn away —
never underestimating
the power
of one subtle,
quiet prayer
whispered from this place.
Amen
When life on the surface
becomes messy,
remind me
to sink a little
deeper in
and reach a little
higher up.
Help me to release
the projections placed
on myself and others,
to move with honor
and compassion
and continue onĀ
from here.
Amen
I hold this space
in my heart,
this once forgotten place,
in honor of all that is
mysterious and unloved —
knowing that,
in this place,
nothing else is needed.
— Laurie, What’s Right Here
Note: My first book, What’s Right Here, will be ready soon with its new, softer look. Thanks to Renee and Michelle. Much love and gratitude for all who visit here.

May we be comforted as we continue on. And may we always honor the tender places within our hearts. Amen
I immersed myself
in subtle healing thoughts,
gently guiding all parts
of me
into the quiet,
wordless space within
and safely back
to where we were one.
At a certain point,
it seemed fitting
to sink down
a little more into
the silent spaces
within my heart,
to reach beyond
the complexities of being
in a healing world.
It seemed most natural
to search for this place
in others,
to let go
of the outdated ideas
of healing and peace
and to show up in a new way —
to embrace the unknown
with honor
and openness —
to become willing to participate
in our own evolution —
trusting the way to be shown.
I hold this space
within
in honor of all that has
yet to be loved,
holding what is here
as it appears
in me,
as it appears in the world,
as it is in all of us —
as it is.
— Laurie, Healer of My Own Heart
I honor all that is
this moment.
I honor all things
unspoken
without judgement
or condition.
I honor
without needing
to change or heal.
May what is
most true in our hearts
shine through
all that is untrue
on the surface.
Amen
