Quiet Reflections and Prayers
I found I could exist
in the world
and also in my heart —
participating fully
in daily life
without the need
or desire
to stay in
constant dialogue
about the story
on the surface —
choosing instead
to play a little
higher card,
to put these things
aside for a moment —
honoring and holding
a little space
for a deeper story
to be known.
For the times
when there is nothing
left to do
but keep walking through,
when every word
we would try to say
couldn’t honor
the courage it takes
to just keep quiet
in our hearts
and keep walking,
when all attempts
to explain or sort
only seem
to make it worse —
for these times,
I offer this
living prayer.
Amen
Let us remember
the sacredness
of our unique journeys
and connection
as one family.
Help us to answer
the longings
hidden underneath
the distractions
of a healing world.
Let us be
the healers we are.
Amen
I immersed myself
in subtle healing thoughts,
gently guiding all parts
of me
into the quiet,
wordless space within
and safely back
to where we were one.
I honor all that is
this moment.
I honor all things
unspoken
without judgement
or condition.
I honor
without needing
to change or heal.
May what is
most true in our hearts
shine through
all that is untrue
on the surface.
Amen
And so I found
the strongest medicine
for the emotional pain
of being separated
from that pure place
of calm and real connection
with ourselves
and each other,
where the line between
disappears
in the subtle
messages from my heart.
And when there is
much noise
and movement,
I assure you
I’m still here
in the silence.
Look a little closer,
into and through
your own heart.
I’m still here.
There were no words
to describe
the sacred journey
and finding
a little magic within —
right in the middle
of what seemed to be
an impossible path.
My only wish
was to reflect
a little of this magic
out into the world
so that she might
remember and continue
to transform herself
with love.
May we see ourselves
from a higher place,
honoring our wounds
and our wholeness —
never losing touch
with the quiet place
within —
where unconditional love,
true healing and compassion
are born.

I was reminded
many times
of the power
in allowing life to flow
around me
without trying to do
or create
more than my part.
And I remembered the strength
and wisdom I found
in quieter places
and the joy of being
part of a greater whole.
