From A Quiet Prayer

Pure Reverence

It’s a funny thing,

this love that we are.

Underneath the stories

and details that seem

to fill

every bit of it,

if we look

and listen

just a little

deeper down,

what we take

as facts,

black and white,

this or that,

who we truly are

and what we truly desire,

softens a little

into pure reverence

for what is

and what is becoming.

Prayers

What Is Most True

Give us strength

to stand firm,

to reach for what is

most true,

to find security

not in the things

we have been shown

to grasp,

but in our deepest core —

returning to our

natural place —

trusting those who have

made the trip before us —

reaching for others’ hands —

reaching ahead and behind,

gathering more strength

so that we may do

what we came to do

and share what we came

to share

as healers of our

own hearts.

Amen

Prayers

Let Us Remember

When we have reached

the place

where words can’t go,

when we seem

most separated

by time and distance,

when the way through

all that stands between us

can’t be seen

and all that is known

is the next needed step,

let us remember

the quiet,

often silent prayers,

that led us that far

and continue on.

Amen
